Programme

Early morning you will be collected from your Hotel and drive to the village of Shimoni. After a short  45 minutes drive from Diani our cruise guide will welcome you and after the completion of the simple passport formalities he will accompany you to the ship where the crew will serve you a complimentary breakfast and and allocate the cabins for those guest staying on the ship. As soon as all passengers are on board the M.V. Blue Liberty will lift anchor. We will cruise along the Shimoni-Channel until our first turning point from where we will be heading South-East passed the Coral  Islands of Wasini, Punguti and Kisite. Here you will most probably see Dolphins and with a bit of luck sea turtles too. Along the way you may relax on any of the three sun decks above or you might prefer to sit comfortably in one of the cool salons below. All decks are open and you can choose your favourite spot.

After only two hours cruise the M.V. Blue Liberty will anchor just off the magnificent Beach of the  Manta Reef Lodge where we will take you ashore by tenders (if staying at the Lodge you will be allocated your Bungalow here) before activities begin, which  include:

· Snorkling and leisure at the beach (snorkling equipment is available free of charge)
· Guided island walks or bicycle rides within the vicinity (visit the lighthouse built by the British in 1900 and the local villages and farms)

small surcharge;

Half day Island tour by car   Euro 20.- / USD  25.-
Sandbank tour by boat         Euro 20.- / USD  25.-
Dolphin watching by boat     Euro 20.- / USD  25.-

In the late afternoon you can enjoy a spectacular sundowner which is only possible from Pemba, because the island  is facing the African Continent to the West, and you can make spectacular photos from the ship’s upper deck or the lodge’s terace

During the next days (depending on how many overnights you have booked) you may want to take up once again one of the free- or one of  the  optional- activities (such as an island-tour, diving etc.), or simply enjoy the life on board. After extraordinary days filled with the experience and charm of this beautiful unspoilt island the M.V. Blue Liberty lifts anchor again in the afternoon and cruises back to the African Mainland. We will arrive in Shimoni two hours later and after a short (free) check-in back into Kenya, your driver will take you back to your hotel or meeting point
